VISUAL IMPAIRMENT FOUNDATION SERVICES
The Visually Impaired Foundation Course is situated in the Centre for Visually Impaired Students in the new Assessment Building, at the rear of Hull College’s Queen’s Garden Site.
The Centre for Visually Impaired Students is a specialised centre with adaptive equipment suitable for visually impaired users.
Training on this specialised equipment is available to all students taking part in mainstream courses and the Work step programme.
All students can access the wide range of educational and training opportunities, which cover a vast range of curriculum areas. Over 1000 subjects are available on part or full time basis.
Deaf and hard of hearing students have access to a wide range of support systems. Experienced communicators qualified in BSL (British Sign Language); note taking and specialised equipment is available to ensure you get the best from your course.
